One Day Pass
Posted by Pete Bouchard
Onshore winds, heavy overcast and a slightly drier airmass (for some) put a dent in the hot weather of late. Boston only managed a measly 72 degrees this afternoon! Even hot spots like Fitchburg and Norwood stayed in the low/mid 70s.
Hopefully you didn't get used to it. The heat and humidity are back with a vengance by tomorrow....and once again, they will fuel some nasty storms and downpours. Keep an eye to the sky both afternoons for any wandering storms. There will be more hits than misses too, so very few of us will come away with dry lawns and gardens.
The endgame is near. Humidity will be forced offshore as a cool front SLOWLY pushes through on Friday. That particular day is a work in progress. Clouds will be slow to part - and on Cape Cod they should not - and the humidity will slowly lift. The payoff? Saturday and Sunday. Summer heat builds back in. And THIS time it should be without the sticky air:
59 degree dewpoints? What's that like??
We will soon see.
