I have to admit, that break from the heat yesterday was nice as temps only reached the mid 70s for afternoon highs and clouds cut back on that searing heat. However.....I'm ready for the warmth to return..and it will today.
Moving that heat back into New England has resulted in low clouds, fog and even a brief shower early this morning--that's the leading edge of summer, or warm front as us weather dorks call it. Sometimes these fronts can get stuck (see November or March) but this time of year it will not be denied and neither will you. Clouds and fog are with us for a few hours this morning but hazy sunshine works back into the mix and that will push temps back into the low & mid 80s by afternoon. Some great beach weather. Heads up as there will be a line of showers & t-storms moving east later today--first in the Worcester area by 3-5pm and into metro Boston by 5-7pm.
Tomorrow is similar with the weather. We start with clouds & fog but hop right back into the summer pool with hazy sun/clouds and an afternoon risk of showers & t-storms. Decent day for the golf courses, beaches and local pools. On Friday that same weather system is with us but we will be on the cooler side of that system so we'll swap out thunderstorms for clouds & scattered showers. Temps on Friday in the low 70s. We will dry out this weekend with Sunday being the brighter of the two days.
