OK..whoever did a rain dance yesterday morning--it worked! Yowza---nearly 3" of beneficial rains on the lawns & gardens was just what the doctor ordered. Now it's time to get back to some summertime fun. We have a decent day in front of us with just a small chance of some isolated showers later today.
The reason for the isolated shower risk is a cool front that will move the humidity out of much of New England (sorry SE Mass/Cape?islands--still lingering humidity next new days). It's moving day and with it comes the risk of some brief pop up showers between 2-5pm along & east of I-95. Despite the small shower threat still a much better day for outdoor activities. Temps today in the low to mid 80s.
This front won't get very far once it jumps offshore late tonight and that makes me sad. This means a fair amount of clouds across the region tomorrow and again on Friday with a few showers across SE Mass/Cape/Islands. I think metro Boston and locations north/west will be mainly dry despite all the clouds. Temps spend the afternoon hours in the 70s with just a touch of humidity.
