A couple of really fantastic days on tap here in New England. High pressure will spend a couple of vacation days leading to lots of sunshine, low humidity and seasonal temps. As we step toward Thursday, our next weather playa arrives. First in the form of increasing humidity and clouds with eventually some rain out of those clouds. I think much of Thursday will stay dry though as the showers will likely hold off until 8-9pm. Those showers are likely in New England for the start of Friday but plan on drier weather/sunshine returning by Friday afternoon. At this time dry weather is on tap for the weekend.
* After the incredible heat during the first two weeks of the month, our temps have cooled these past two weeks---so much so, the month isn't likely to even finish in the top 5 hottest months!
* A week ago today, we we're running about 2" below normal in precipitation. As of this morning, it's now a surplus of about .25".
* Since June 21st, we've lost 47 minutes of daylight (August is when it really begins to vanish)!
* Except for the remnants of Dorian, the tropics remain quiet--that will likely change in about 3-4 weeks as the hurricane season typically gets active after August 15th.
