Summer Rolls On
Posted by Jeremy Reiner
While I'm sad to see July fade away I remind myself that there is still plenty of summer in front of me---and you too! We will start the month with a few more clouds than how we ended July but much of today stays dry. A skinny storm system takes aim on New England late in the day with showers arriving between 4-6pm across central MA and doesn't;t reach metro Boston/beaches until 6-8pm. Temps will still reach the low 80s by afternoon. Showers & t-storms are likely later this evening and overnight with many cities/towns picking up an inch of rain.
This skinny weather system will also pick up speed late tonight/early Friday which means after 8am tomorrow, we are dry! Clouds will need a little more time to depart on Friday by by midday and for much of the afternoon you can plan on a fair amount of sunshine. Looks good for the beaches.
The weekend will offer dry weather both days with just building clouds each afternoon. If you are heading up north for the weekend (ie Lakes Region, NH) plan on a few scattered t-storms on Sunday afternoon. Afternoon temps will reach the low 80s each day.
