More Sun Than Rain

The beat goes on... that of course, is the mainly dry summer weather we've had.
Although I do have the risk for a passing shower or thunderstorm this afternoon, not all towns will see one. About 30% of us get wet, with the most likely locations to see rain, the farther west one travels. Highs head for the upper 80s on average, although a few towns north of Boston flirt with 90 once again. The Cape and Islands run in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
A passing shower or thunderstorm is possible this evening, otherwise partly cloudy skies and mild temps prevail. As winds turn NW for tomorrow, humidity starts to lower again, but with just a touch of instability left in the atmosphere, a pop up shower or thunderstorm is not out of the question. The overall rain chance tomorrow is only 20%.
As high pressure builds in for the weekend, it's another fantastic stretch of weather with lots of sun and low humidity. Overnight lows are deep into the 50s with daytime highs in the mid to upper 70s Saturday, near 80 on Sunday.
