The average high this time of year is about 75 degrees. We'll be close to that today, but the numbers are all over the place on the rest of the 7day forecast.
Let's start with today. Partly sunny skies extend through early afternoon, with a tendency to go mostly sunny mid to late afternoon. As a cool front comes through midday, it could force out a late morning/lunch-time sprinkle or brief shower in a few towns (highest chance SE Mass), but I wouldn't count on rain changing your outdoor plans. Winds turn to the northwest this afternoon, and that northwest wind ushers in much cooler air for tonight. Highs do reach the mid 70s today, but that's around 2:00PM, after that, the numbers start to slide with an active NW wind. Overnight lows fall to the upper 30s in the coolest suburbs to near 50 in the city.
Tomorrow is a bight, but cool day with highs only near 70.
We'll shake the cool weather off by mid-week as mid-summer heat and humidity build in. Highs surge past 90 on Wednesday with hazy sun and dew points well into the 60s. Don't take that A/C unit out quite yet!
Thunderstorms breaks the heat and humidity on Thursday, some of which could be strong, so we'll have to watch for that set-up when the time comes.
By Friday and Saturday, it's back to much cooler weather with highs by next Saturday not getting out of the 60s.
Hey, it's transition time here in New England and that means a lot of back and forth.
