Easing Into It

A few days ago I blogged about how it could be a nor'easter on Friday and still have peeps smiling......fast-forward to today--Monday and I find that I need a day like today's weather to help me cope with re-entry from a super fun weekend. The week will offer ups & downs with fall like weather on either end of the week with summertime heat & humidity sandwiched in between.
Today is a fantastic day with sunshine( and a few cirrus clouds) and temps in the low 70s. High pressure came into New England yesterday and is with us again today. In fact, the little blue H will pass overhead today and that means less wind than yesterday. Just an outstanding late summer day. Tonight will see an increase in clouds late at night with milder air beginning to arrive.
Those clouds will be tied to a warm front--the leading edge of summertime heat/humidity--which will move through tomorrow morning. that front will also have a clump of clouds & sprinkles with it so plan on some raindrops before 10am Tuesday, otherwise it's a warmer day with increasing sunshine as they day gets older.
Wednesday we are back into summer--full on! Hazy sunshine and a healthy southwest wind will work to boost temps into the low 90s by afternoon. it will more noticeably more humid too. This heat & humidity may lead to an isolated thundershower late in the day. A higher chance of t-storms appears likely on Thursday evening (yes, during the Pats game) as a cool front crashes into New England. More on that tomorrow----it's Monday after all.
