The End Is Near

One last mid summer weather day folks. Amazing heat yesterday with many cities & towns reaching the upper 90s (97 in Boston) !! We won't be that hot today but we will still see afternoon temps about 10-15 degrees above normal---upper 80s-- as well as high humidity.
The reason it's the last warm & humid day for New England is a cool front that will shove all the heat & humidity out of here. The shoving will lead to a scattering of showers/t-storms very late this afternoon and more likely this evening. Most of your day is storm free but scattered storms will pop in the Worcester hills around 4-5pm but not arrive into metro Boston until 8-9pm. As for the home opener down at Gillette, tailgating and the first half of the game will be dry but the 2nd half of the game will offer a scattering of storms. A warm & humid evening is on tap for the game. Go Pats.
Tomorrow starts with that cool front draped across the region so look for leftover clouds & showers but sunshine will return by tomorrow afternoon. The humidity will begin to lower at that time and continue to crash just in time for Friday Night Football games across the region. The weekend offers some awesome early fall weather with mainly sunny skies, low humidity & seasonably cool temps.
