Today was just the start:
There's a lot to get worked up over. The upper atmosphere is warming, the winds are from the west, and the sun is out all day tomorrow. We should fall short of the record high of 88, but low 80s are certainly in the cards.
Tomorrow's the warmest day, but it isn't the end of the warm spell. Highs will 'drop' to the mid and upper 70s Thursday behind a cool front, then keep sliding into the upper 60s/low 70s by Saturday. What keeps us on the warm side is the humidity, which will continue to climb through the weekend. Yeah, I know, you probably already brought in the A/C units, right? Well, this isn't mid July, so I think we can manage.
We've been pretty confident with the extended forecasts over the last couple of weeks. Forecast has been simple & straightforward: sun and mild temperatures. That's changing next week. Some uncertainty is seeping into the forecast next week. We could be seeing an increase in rain and clouds. And there are some signs the rain could be heavy.
In the meantime, enjoy the return to summer!
