Time For Something New

Nearly 2 weeks. That's how long it's been since we've seen rain and it has become quite dry. So much so, that the drought monitor branch of the National Weather Service has tagged metro Boston is the lowest drought status....*abnormally dry*. Don;t get me wrong---I'm not rooting for rain on a Friday morning but we could use some.
That's all it will be today is some rain mainly in the form of isolated showers & sprinkles. The window of opportunity for the raindrops will be from 10am-4pm and again...isolated means some of you will cruise through that raindrop window without feeling any rain. The clouds & rain threat will keep temps in the upper 60s/low 70s. That Sox game will feature clouds--a sprinkle or two and some great starting pitching. Go Sox!
The weekend offers much the same as the weather system today (stalled warm front) will be with us again tomorrow and Sunday. Both days will average out mostly cloudy but dry. A brief sprinkle is possible at any time both days. We will be on the cool side of this front over the weekend so plan on temps in the upper 60s tomorrow & again on Sunday.
As we step into next week some beneficial rainfall is possible Monday evening-Tuesday morning as leftover tropical moisture from storm Karen sweeps across New England.
Have a great weekend!
