Giving In to The Showers
Posted by Pete Bouchard
Badly needed rain swept through parts of Mass and NH this morning. Unfortunately, not everyone had a seat at the table.
Granted, this is the first round of showers, and there will be more in the days ahead. And if you're reading between the lines, that means part of the weekend is wet. I'm still seeing lots of dry hours - especially in the afternoons.
Although I have an idea when we'll dry out, I'm not as confident about the wet hours. Will it rain straight through both Saturday and Sunday morning or will we see scattered, passing showers? Without hemming and hawing about it for the remainder of the blog, I think we should just plan on some wet times and let it play out.
What's really behind the uncertainty is the tiny impulses rippling along our stalled front. I see that front pushing through late Sunday, but until it moves out of our area, we are at the mercy of the whimsical showers.
Nevertheless, we should be good for tomorrow evening's Sox game.
If we don't get your town a drink of water this weekend, there's always next week. Downpours come to town on Tuesday as the remnants of Karen make her pass through New England. Of course, that also means plenty of humid, tropical air, so plan on October-like chill taking a back seat.
See you on Sunday morning for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk!
