Back To Fall

Yowza--those were some nasty storms out in the western & central part of the state last evening. Several reports of small limbs/branches/downed wires all across the region. That wind (combined with our dry September) easily ripped our leaves off the trees--boo. Still plenty of color expected this weekend though.
The reason for all that rain & wind was a powerful cold front that shoved the late summer warmth & humidity out to sea. The air is much drier today so you have a full day of sunshine. The mild morning will allow temps to easily climb into the upper 60s buy afternoon. Still some leftover wind at times through the day.
Tomorrow offers more sunshine but also cooler temps for the entire day--starting in the low 40s and only reaching the low 60s (even cooler along the coast thanks to a northeast wind). Similar weather on tap for Thursday.
As we get to Friday--seems so far away right now---a storm takes shape south of New England & will try to pester us with rain for the weekend but I think it can only foul things up for a day. Showers appear likely at this time on Friday but when the weekend arrives so will high pressure from Canada, sending the storm packing.
