Storms A Creeping
Posted by Jeremy Reiner
Quite the storm to our south this morning with locally heavy rain & wind gusts near 30mph on the Jersey Shore---tough situation. That storm has been creeping on us for a couple of days now--have you noticed those pretty wispy clouds (cirrus) in the sky? Today, clouds from that storm will arrive in greater numbers as the storm creeps closer. I do think some sprinkles are even possible south of the MA Pike--especially south of highway 44--later today. Dry weather metro Boston as well as north/west of town. The clouds make the day fit perfectly for October weather.
Tomorrow, that storm has its greatest influence on us with mostly cloudy skies as well as some scattered showers. Like today though the highest chance of the raindrops tomorrow will be south & west of Boston. In fact, from Boston north, some sun is likely at times. High pressure anchored across northern New England is why this storm will have such a hard time bothering us and this high pressure only gets stronger as the holiday weekend ages.
Saturday begins with mostly cloudy skies and some leftover sprinkles and then look for some sunshine late in the day--more so north of the MA Pike than south. Sunday & Columbus Day offer a mix of clouds & sun. Afternoon temps will hang in the low 60s for the next several days.
