Busy, Busy Weekend
Posted by Chris Lambert
Lots going on this weekend from the Sox at Fenway to the Pats at Gillette to hitting the local apple orchards and pumpkin patches. Overall, the weather works out ok for all of that, although at times, it'll be a bit on the cool side compare to the mid 60s to lower 70s we had Friday.
The worst of the weekend weather will be today as early morning sunshine fades out thanks to low level moisture dragging in clouds from our northeast. With enough moisture in place, we'll even wring out the occasional drizzle/mist. Factor in the combination of that cloud cover, patchy drizzle and a strengthening NE breeze, and we'll have a blustery day overall, especially at the coast. Temps near 60 by late morning, only to fall back into the mid to upper 50s mid to late afternoon. We'll hold in the lower to mid 50s for the Sox game tonight. We don't have to worry about a rain delay or rain out, but there still could be patchy mist during the game.
By daybreak tomorrow, any low level moisture pushes west and south of us on, allowing for brighter skies for both Sunday and Monday. Heading to Fenway tomorrow? Again, it'll be in the mid 50s, but this go around, the breeze won't be as strong, and there will be no mist in the air. Gillette tailgating looks great too with afternoon temps running in the lower to mid 60s.
The pattern warms a bit for the middle part of next week before a cold front brings in showers Thursday afternoon.
Enjoy the weekend and Go Sox and Pats!!!
