Back at it with much the same as previous days/weeks. Hard to believe that October is half over already?! (side note--about ready to load up the iPhone with the holiday tunes) The first half of the month has been warm---temps have been running about 5 degrees above normal-- while precipitation has been sparse (Most towns running about an inch below normal in rainfall).
There are signs of a pattern change down the road as waaaayyy out in the Pacific a typhoon named "Wipha" heads for the north Pacific. When these typhoons do that they have a downstream effect on the jet stream across North America, buckling the jet stream in a fashion that sends cold, Canadian air into the United States. This looks like it will happen in about a week-10 days.
Until that jet stream buckles look for more decent weather with a mix of sun & clouds & seasonal temps--both day & night. Our next chance of rain won;t happen until a cool front (not from Canada) sweeps through New England Friday Morning with showers. More dry weather is on tap for the upcoming weekend! Enjoy!
