Cool, But Still Dry
Posted by Chris Lambert
With midday clouds strolling on through, the lack of sunshine didn't help us out much today as highs struggled to crack the 50 degree mark.
The cool day set's the stage for a chilly overnight tonight. In fact, frost advisories and freeze warnings are posted for coastal communities and even for the Boston Metro area as temperatures drop into the 30s tonight. Mid 30s ought to do it for much of the Boston area with the frost advisory in place, and near 30 for the North Shore and South Shore where the freeze warning is up. What about inland? No advisories or warnings, but that's because we've seen frosty temps before and the growing season is generally over. It'll be plenty cold inland with lows in the upper 20s to 30.
So we've changed the pattern for the colder, but not the wetter. Dry conditions prevail this weekend as highs head into the mid to upper 50s. Clouds increase Saturday afternoon, and decrease Sunday morning, but overall, no rain. The windier of the two days is Saturday, as SW winds gust in the afternoon 25-30+mph.
Enjoy the weekend and go Sox and go Pats! Tailgating weather at Gillette runs in the 50s with mostly sunny skies. If you're heading to St. Louis... game time temps there are in the 50s.
