What a game, and what a season! It was unreal, even sitting at home you could feel the energy of Fenway coming through TV screen.
Now that we added 2013 to the list of World Series wins, we can concentrate on other things, like Halloween and parade weather. It'll be a mild few days ahead for sure, but also a stretch where we deal with some rain at times.
Winds today become southerly and that allows for much warmer temps compared to yesterday as highs near 60 degrees. Lots of clouds are around this afternoon, and eventually even a few late-day showers north and west of Boston. Trick or Treaters around 495 may battle a couple showers that are in or out, but the chance to stay dry in the 5-7PM timeframe near the city, and towns south is higher than the chance for wet weather. Even if a shower hits the little ghosts and goblins, it'll be a mild evening with temps holding near 60!
Rain and wind pick up overnight and last through the first half of Friday. In fact, winds pick up enough, that a high wind watch is in place from Boston to Providence, and all of SE Mass. Winds between 25-35mph will be common with occasional gusts 50-60mph! Highest chance for the strongest wind gusts will be close to Buzzards Bay/Cape/Islands. Friday should dry out in the mid to late afternoon as temps head toward 70 degrees!
Looks like Saturday is parade day and the weather in Boston should work out ok. There will be a close call with a wave of low pressure just to our east, so I can't rule out a shower, but the steadiest rain looks to be across the Cape/Islands as well as out to sea. Temps still near 60 Saturday.
We'll cool down the second half of the weekend and early next week.
Grab the extra cup of coffee this morning and enjoy the day. World Series Champs again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
